Hundreds of area residents and visitors attended the Arts Walk on October 14, 2011 in downtown Battle Creek and were treated to live performances of music and theatre as well as artists displaying their work from all disciplines including upcycled art.
At Commerce Pointe, visitors were serenaded in melodious strains from the Community Music School with everything from violin and piano to jazz. Artists with displays included Elise Weiler, an art teacher from Berrien Springs, CJ Wirth of Marshall, and Janice Dempsey of Battle Creek, along with the continuation of the Cereal History exhibit – a collection of history and memorabilia of our cereal legacy from the collections of Brian Munger, James Rocho, Junior Thornton, Duff Stoltz and the Art Center of Battle Creek.
