Artist Statement
Life is to be enjoyed not endured. After losing my only child, Justin, at 19 in an auto accident, I had to really look at my life. Life is too short not to live it to its' fullest potential. This endeavor, that I have started is in memory of my son, Justin, so that he may go on and live through my dreams.
Artist Bio
A mechanical engineer by trade, I have always loved to tinker with things. In junior high school, my dad, let me use his 35mm camera. This was my first look behind the lens. I loved it. You would not catch me at any family outings without the camera. As I grew older, I took classes in photography and how to develop my own film. It was a great past time but I never thought of it as a way to earn a living. With a young son growing up, I needed to work at a steady job.
Tragedy occurred; I lost my only child, Justin. Shortly after that happened, an illness took my lively hood as well. With limited resources but faith the size of a football field, I am working on a dream. This dream is my purpose in life: to showcase the beauty of God’s creations.
