Chair/Director Statement
The Battle Creek Society of Artists is a non-profit organization focusing on the visual arts. Our Mission is to educate and promote artists of all levels and media in a non-juried environment. We welcome visitors to attend our meetings and benefit from our speakers and members.

Organization Description
The BCSA educates & promotes artists. There is a sense of camaraderie in the club as well as a feeling of acceptance, as each artist knows the struggles of being an artist at any level. Club activities include; monthly demonstrations by guest artists, public exhibits of members' works, in-depth workshops by qualified artists, on location painting in the summer, Open Studio Fridays in Rm 222 Davidson Bld. at KCC and a monthly newsletter.
The club meets monthly to discuss & share arts related information. Meetings are generally held at 1:00 PM on the last Friday of each month, September through May, and are held in the Davidson Building, Rm. 202-D on the campus of Kellogg Community College. All meetings are open to the public and there is never a charge to attend and learn from our guest speakers.
BCSA members display their work in various locations in Battle Creek and surrounding areas.
If you have any questions, call Ray Hayes @ 269-965-6431 or Xenia Schafer @269-317-7184.

The samples above are 3 of the 21 murals donated and created this year by BCSA artists for Inasmuch House, Calhoun Countys first Family Homeless Shelter. BCSA artists also donated 25 other paintings for the resident rooms in the shelter.
Thank you artists for giving a part of yourselves.
